Shelli Nicole is a Detroit-born culture writer, curator, editor, and award winning creative strategist.

Written pieces are often personal narratives infused with her nostalgia, Black identity, and Queer experiences. Interviews, profiles, and critiques of film and television are also part of her work.

Every week, her popular newsletter Hi Shelli explores the connection between people and how the pop culture they love shows up in their daily lives.

She has been a guest on several podcasts including The Bechdel Cast and Blue Eyes Crying By The Chips.

Her strategy work has won Clio awards and been honored by The Webby Awards. Clients include Prime Video, Onyx Collection, HBO Max, Tubi, and Universal.

She lives in Chicago where she is currently watching “Such Brave Girls” on repeat.
